ADHESIVE CHAIN OILS

The oils from the VISCOL® range are made from selected mineral base oils. They present exceptional adhesive properties thanks to their stringiness additives.
These oils protect efficiently against corrosion even in saline environment or in presence of steam up to 150°C. They also show excellent anti wear and extreme pressure properties for any kind of chains.

ESTAR®

SYNTHETIC OILS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURE CHAINS

The oils from the range ESTAR® are made from synthetic (special ester) base oils. These oils are very resistant to heat and evaporation even in presence of steam. ESTAR® oils incorporate special blend of additives which generates no residue at high temperature up to 250°C.

APPLICATIONS

• Total Ironcast SY 50 is a synthetic mould release fluid for the continuous casting of steel billets.
• Total Ironcast SY 50 has an excellent oxidation resistance and leaves no residue during the casting process. It prevents direct contact between the steel and the internal walls of the mould, thereby permitting continuous flow and a uniform cooling of the steel.
• Total Ironcast  SY 50 enables increased productivity as regards the continuous casting systems of the steel by preventing inclusions of superficial oxides and avoiding formation of solid deposits liable to harm the quality of the steel ingot.
• Total Ironcast SY 50 is homologated by DANIELI.

Description

Trunk Piston Engine Oil

Description

Total Aurelia TI is a range of trunk piston engine oils developed for use in medium speed diesel engines burning residual fuels. Total Aurelia TI combines an exclusive formulation of the latest additive technologies, developed by the Total research center, and a highly refined base oil to provide a substantial safety margin to cope with higher stress levels including those of the latest and future designs of diesel engines.

Applications

The Total Aurelia TI range can be used in highly rated, medium speed diesel engines used for both marine and stationary power generation, using residual heavy fuel oil with varying qualities and quantities of sulphur content. Oils in the range are particularly suitable for engines consuming a low or very low amount of oil and using poor quality residual fuel. They can also be used to lubricate bearings and stern tubes, along with reduction gears.

Features and Benefits

Total Aurelia TI 3030 and 4030 exceed the CF specification defined by the American Petroleum Institute. They ensure outstanding cleanliness of both the hot and cold parts of an engine thanks to their detergency and dispersant properties. Their ability to reduce heavy deposit build-up in an engine creates savings via a reduction in maintenance costs. They also offer excellent resistance to the negative effects of residual fuel contamination, along with excellent thermal resistance and oxidisation resistance. The stable viscosity of Total Aurelia TI 3030 and 4030 means that fewer top-ups are needed. The range is also very water resistant, with outstanding demulsibility capacity, enabling rapid removal of water after an ingress and the maintenance of good engine performance. Good wear protection and excellent oil film strength at extreme pressures are also established features of the range.

Description

Total Atlanta Marine D  system oils have been specifically designed for the lubrication of slow speed two-stroke crosshead diesel engines. It is available in three different viscosity grades to help you optimize the overall viscosity of your system oil when toping up.

Applications

Lubrication of two-stroke engines’ crankshaft, oil cooled pistons and shaft bearings.

Total Atlanta Marine D 2005, 3005 and 4005 were developed in close collaboration with OEMs and meet the requirements of MAN Diesel & Turbo, MHI and WinGD (Wärtsilä engines).
